And you left today
Said you need some time to forget the days
When you were so hurt and broken
But I got high, fell asleep in a bathtub
Are you here tonight?
Or have I just gotten too drunk and dialed your number
With "Whisky Words & a Shovel" I buried myself in a bed
Underneath the light and I'll hide here till the day I die
So I'll sit around writing songs till you come back
And I'll look at the moon in hopes that you're looking too
And I'll scream all of my songs at the top of my lungs
in hopes that you're singing too

Do you wanna bite me?
Cause I wanna smell you
I wanna be with you
Big ears are my heart
While I was waiting
I wrote these words down
and it felt like a waste
Big ears are my heart
I'm passed out in the backseat
and you're high like in high school
and you hate me like in high school
but you hate yourself more than you ever did
As you sleep away from your quandary
I stay wide awake, read your poetry
I think back to those nights in that fucking shed
and confusion ignites in the back of my head
"And you hope that I come home to you
but I feel so empty next to you"
When the confusion hits I just wanna die
Cause the only thing I picture is you in my mind
And when I'm not with you, I go back to that shed
I once left and now I'm back again
